Avocados

You've thought about getting serious with your nutrition.

Not for a flatter stomach.

Not to “be good” before a vacation.

But because deep down, you’re afraid.

Afraid of that family history repeating itself.

Afraid of being the next one to get the diagnosis no one saw coming.

Afraid of waking up one day and realizing your body has been trying to tell you something—for years.

If you’ve ever found yourself saying,

“I know I need to take better care of myself… I just don’t know how to make it stick,”

You’re not alone. And you’re not too late.

You want to feel better—but not at the cost of your sanity.

You’ve read the headlines. You’ve seen the statistics.
And you know deep down: if something doesn’t change, your future health could suffer.

You’re not just trying to lose a few pounds.
You’re trying to prevent the same diagnoses that have run through your family for generations.

Together, we’ll create a plan that:

  • Honors your body and your genetic blueprint

  • Focuses 80% on nutrition as medicine—reducing your risk for disease, one meal at a time

  • Supports your energy, digestion, hormones, and immunity

  • Leaves room for the real-life stuff: careers, kids, cravings, and busy schedules

  • Gently includes low-tox lifestyle shifts that amplify your results

Let’s redefine diet culture: it’s not about restriction.
It’s about freedom—from fear, from confusion, from chronic conditions that don’t belong to you.

Want proof this works?
What the numbers show is inescapable: when we use food as medicine, lives change.

  • In the EPIC-Oxford cohort (nearly 15 years of follow-up), meat-eaters had a 10.1% overall cancer rate, fish-eaters 6.0%, and vegetarians 5.9% PubMed Central. That’s about a 10% lower risk just by shifting toward plants BioMed Central.

  • Among cancer survivors, those who adopted higher intakes of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes experienced better prognosis—fewer recurrences and lower mortality—than those who stuck with ultra-processed or heavy-meat diets PubMed Central.

  • Research from Memorial Sloan Kettering shows plant-based approaches outperformed ketogenic diets at reducing cancer risk and supporting long-term health after treatment Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

  • In women with metastatic breast cancer, every extra 1,000 g of fat consumed per month increases mortality risk by 40%, and a typical American diet carries a 60% higher risk of death compared to a low-fat vegetarian diet Pierce County Cancer Survivorship.

  • A meta-analysis of 145 studies shows that flavan-3-ol–rich foods (think dark chocolate, tea, berries) can lower blood pressure at levels comparable to some medications when eaten daily. Food & Wine

  • Worldwide, cancers in adults under 50 are projected to increase by 30% between 2019 and 2030 . In the U.S., 80,000 young adults (ages 20–39) are diagnosed every year—4% of all cancers . Even more alarming, breast cancer rates have climbed 1% per year in women under 50 from 2012–2021. Washington Post

  • For those who do get sick, the story doesn’t end at diagnosis. Survivors who stick with nutrient-dense, whole-food, plant-forward diets see fewer recurrences and significantly better long-term outcomes compared to folks on ultra-processed or heavy-meat diets PubMed. In fact, adhering to multiple healthy lifestyle habits can cut mortality by up to 60% Cancer Australia.

  • 85% of all health-care spending in the U.S. is tied directly to diet-related chronic diseases—yet many of these conditions are preventable with strategic nutrition interventions. Food is Medicine

  • Poor dietary patterns account for $1.1 trillion per year in health-care costs—equivalent to what Americans spend on food itself—underscoring the massive impact of what we eat. The Rockefeller Foundation

Let’s Talk Real Life.
(aka Why Prevention. And why now.)

If you’ve ever whispered to yourself,
“I need to get serious about my health before it’s too late…”

Then hi. You’re in the exact right place.

You’re probably craving:

😵‍💫 Energy that lasts past noon (without another iced coffee)

💩 A digestive system that’s actually… regular

😬 Less guessing if that ache, that bloat, that fog is “normal”

💆🏽‍♀️ And let’s be real—some peace of mind that your body isn’t a ticking time bomb

But then… life happens.
Work. Family. Stress. Another month gone.

And before you know it?

👉 You’re exhausted, even when you “rest”
👉 You’re on your third gut supplement this year
👉 You’re silently wondering if you’re next in your family to get a diagnosis
👉 You’ve tried so many things and still don’t feel like your body is cooperating

Here’s the truth:

If your plan for prevention still looks like hope, hustle, and half a multivitamin…

It’s not a plan—it’s a placeholder.

FAM Philosophy is the 16-week program that helps you stop spiraling and start supporting your body with the kind of nutrition that’s actually built for long-term prevention.

This isn’t about never getting sick.

Let's Just Call It Out...

There is so much noise.

You’ve seen the headlines:

🙄 “THIS is the only healthy way to eat”
🙄 “Eat This, Not That—Or Else”
🙄 “Why You Should Never Eat After 6pm”

And somehow?
You’re still left wondering what to eat for lunch.

Here’s the truth:

Most of it is disconnected.
From your life. Your body. Your history. Your future.

This isn’t about weight loss, food guilt, or impressing your doctor with your willpower.

This is about finally trusting your body—and knowing how to support it.

But What If Prevention Didn’t Have to Feel This Overwhelming?

Here’s what I know:
Your body isn’t broken.
You don’t need a cleanse or a reset.

My
Story

brand-session-baltimore-maryland-4.jpg

Hi, I'm Cerissa, the creator of Studio Cerissa & The FAM Philosophy

My passion for health and wellness stems from my personal journey with a family health history full of illness. In high school I remember my parents started coming home with diagnosis after diagnosis, and accepting this was their life in "old age." But I refused to accept those outcomes for myself. At just 15 years old I began my study of nutrition that launched a lifetime of changes.

Through years of trial and error, I created what is now my signature approach, rooted in food as medicine. This method gave me back my strength and control over my health, and I’m proud to say I have defied the odds—although I couldn't keep the connective tissue disorder (EDS) away, I have been able to manage my symptoms in a way that baffles many of my doctors.

Today, I help people just like you redefine their futures, no matter what doctors or diagnoses have said. My goal is to empower you to feel strong, live disease-free, and prove that you can live the life you want.

Are you ready to take that first step? Let’s do this together.

The "Love It or Leave It" 14-Day Guarantee

I wholeheartedly believe in the power of preventative nutrition—and the transformation waiting for you inside FAM Philosophy.

But I also know it can feel scary to invest in yourself—especially when you’ve tried other programs that didn’t deliver.

So here’s my promise:

- If you join FAM Philosophy and realize within 14 days that it’s not the right fit—you can request a full refund.

No pressure. No weird vibes.

All I ask is that you give it a real shot—show up, do the initial work, and let me know what didn’t feel aligned.

Because here’s the truth: I don’t want your money if this isn’t the right program for you. But if it is?

We’re about to stack the odds in your favor—in every area of your future health.

You’ve got 14 days. I’ve got your back.

Wondering If FAM Philosophy Is Right for You?
Let's make it super clear >>>

This IS for you if…

  • You’re a woman in your 30s, 40s, or 50s who’s thinking about the long game—and ready to eat like prevention matters.

  • You’ve got a family history of chronic illness (think diabetes, cancer, heart disease) and want to do everything in your power to reduce your risk.

  • You’re confused by all the food rules and want a method that actually fits your real life.

  • You want to understand why food matters—not just what to eat.

  • You’re craving more energy, better digestion, mental clarity, and peace of mind that you’re doing something good for your future self.

  • You’re ready to prioritize your health before it becomes a crisis.

This is NOT for you if…

❌ You’re looking for a detox, weight loss challenge, or another 30-day reset.
❌ You’re not open to learning, unlearning, or changing old food habits.
❌ You want someone to just hand you a generic meal plan and disappear.
❌ You’re expecting instant results with zero effort—this is long-term prevention, not a quick fix.
❌ You’re not ready to take ownership of your health (even with full support in your corner).

  • What exactly is FAM Philosophy?
FAM Philosophy (Food As Medicine) is a 16-week hybrid coaching program that helps you build a personalized nutrition plan rooted in disease prevention. Through a blend of live group calls, private 1:1 coaching, and step-by-step curriculum modules, you’ll learn how to eat, shop, and live in a way that actually supports your long-term health—without dieting, obsessing, or starting over every Monday.
  • Who is this program best for?
FAM Philosophy is ideal for women in their 30s, 40s, or 50s who are ready to take their future health seriously. If you’ve ever looked at your family health history and felt a pit in your stomach, or you’re sick of wondering if what you’re eating is actually helping—you’re in the right place. This is for women who want clarity, structure, and guidance to make food choices that prevent disease without becoming obsessive or restrictive.
  • Do I need to be plant-based to join?
Not at all. FAM is plant-forward, not plant-exclusive. This means we prioritize whole, colorful, fiber-rich foods—but you don’t need to give up animal products unless it aligns with your personal values or health goals. The approach is flexible, inclusive, and built around you.
  • Will I lose weight on this program?
FAM isn’t a weight loss program, but many women naturally experience changes in weight, energy, digestion, inflammation, and mood as a result of the shifts we make together. Our focus is on function over fixation—supporting your body so it can perform and heal at its best.
  • What if I've already tried "Eating Healthy" and nothing's changed?
Totally understandable—and honestly? Most “healthy eating” advice is one-size-fits-all and completely disconnected from your unique body and history. FAM is different. We look at your personal and family health risks, digestion, lifestyle, and symptoms to create a plan that actually fits you. No more guessing.
  • How much time does this program take each week?
Expect to spend 1–2 hours per week watching trainings or attending live calls (or replays). Implementation can vary, but we’re focused on sustainable rhythms—not rigid routines. This is about building prevention into your real life, not taking over it.
  • What's included in the program?
Inside FAM Philosophy, you’ll get: ✔️ 16 weeks of structured coaching support ✔️ Weekly group calls with teaching, Q&A, and connection ✔️ Up to 4 private 1:1 sessions per month (depending on your pace) ✔️ Lifetime access to all training materials and future updates ✔️ Workbooks, guides, and tools to help you implement everything with ease ✔️ Ongoing support and feedback directly from Cerissa
  • What happens if I fall behind?
No stress. You have lifetime access to all materials, so you can go at your own pace and revisit anything, anytime. FAM was built for real life, with flexibility baked in.
  • Is this program only for women experiencing health issues?
Not at all. In fact, it’s for the woman who wants to avoid them. Whether you’re currently managing symptoms (like fatigue, bloating, blood sugar spikes, or inflammation) or you’re proactive about preventing future conditions like cancer, diabetes, or heart disease—this program is about stacking the odds in your favor.
  • What if I've already had a diagnosis? Will this still help me?
Yes. While FAM isn’t a replacement for medical treatment, it is a powerful complement to your healing journey. Many women join FAM after a diagnosis or scare, because they’re finally ready to change their habits with the right support. Prevention and support can coexist.
  • Is this worth the investment?
Only if your long-term health is. Look—this isn’t a “band-aid” solution or trendy wellness hack. This is about preventing what you can and being prepared for what you can’t. If you want personalized coaching, education, and a clear plan to use food as medicine—you will not find this kind of support inside a $7 e-course or a random IG Reel.
  • What kind of results do people typically see?
While results vary based on your history and goals, many FAM students report: 💫 More energy + better sleep 💫 Consistent digestion and reduced bloating 💫 Lower inflammation markers 💫 More confidence at the grocery store and in the kitchen 💫 A deeper sense of peace around food—and their future
  • Can I join if I'm outside the US?
Absolutely. FAM Philosophy is fully online and accessible from anywhere. All calls are recorded, and we provide flexible scheduling for 1:1 sessions to accommodate time zones.
