Creating with Purpose isn’t just my tagline, it’s the thread that’s run through every version of me. I’ve been an artist, a witch, a storyteller, a teacher, a stylist, and a mother. I’ve spent decades working with transformation in hair, health, habit, and heart, learning that beauty and purpose share the same roots.
The Origin Story
For over twenty years, I stood behind the chair as a hairstylist and colorist, helping people see themselves again. It's work that I have put my heart and soul into, that's healed me as much as I've helped others. And I think it was always part of a much larger calling I've always felt within myself.
I've always felt that I was meant for more. To go beyond the surface, into the stories, histories, and rituals that shape us. To help women take back their autonomy, and shape a better future for the next generation.

A hysterectomy and my 40th birthday cracked something open. I knew that if I didn't start taking action to achieve that "more," then I never would. I began studying nutrition, mindfulness, and movement, the kind of prevention and healing I wished someone had taught me sooner, and one that I had spent decades studying on my own.
That journey became The FAM Philosophy, my first bridge between wellness and everyday magic.
The Evolution
I spent years studying to gain my certifications in meditation, nutrition, and personal training. I invested in a business coach when I felt I was ready to start stepping back from behind the chair and finally living up to the legacy that I'd created in my mind.

The only problem...in a world that had begun to fall apart since I started my journey, posting about workouts, healthy food, and mindfulness felt trivial to say the least. I couldn't keep ignoring what was going on in the world around me.
​
So, I outed myself as a witch. I've practiced various versions of the craft since I was 19 years old. That is where my intentions really came to life. The legacy I knew I wanted to build, but didn't quite know how to accomplish finally showed itself. And the most amazing thing is that this is the most connected to me that I've ever been.

Now, through Studio Cerissa, that feeling I've always had inside me is starting to bloom, and everything I’ve learned lives under one canopy.
My work flows through three branches:

The COVN – the light path: community, meditation, and ritual for modern witches and seekers.

The Quiet Rebellion – the shadow path: study, truth-telling, and the rediscovery of forgotten wisdom.

The Shop – the grounding path: tools, apparel, and services to support the craft and the person behind it.
Together they form a living practice; one that honors both the mystical and the mundane, the spiritual and the physical, the seen and unseen.
The Philosophy
I believe that intention is the most powerful ingredient we have. And that rebellion can be quiet, elegant, and deeply kind.

Everything I create, be it a meditation, a ritual, a book, a haircut, is an act of reclamation. A reminder that healing, beauty, and sovereignty all begin with one thing: remembering who you are.
​
This path is not just about creating my own legacy, but reaching out and helping other women, witches, and anyone who knows that there is more. We all have our own unique gifts to offer the world that should embraced and understood, rather than cast out or shut down. My calling is not to judge, but to encourage. And I'm so thankful that you're here with me.
